Gold headstones??

Don't they only happen if the sim died of old age?  I've drowned my share of platinum sims and only gotten the regular style.

And since you're a newbie, take this as an addendum to Pes' advice, not a contradiction.  Old age and platinum, not either/or.

thanks.  im actually not a newbie, i just dont play many families until they die from old age.  and i have the triplets and quads mod so that keeps my game running very slow with trying to keep up with millions of kiddies  :P

That's correct Soylent Sim. The fancy gold tombstones only happen if your sim dies of old age with Platinum aspiration. Any other type of death results in the plain tombstone regardless of aspiration.
