Unless you geneticise your custom eyes, they should always be dominant, meaning that the baby will, most likely, be born with the mother's custom eyes. You could also try default replacements for the Maxis eyes to make Erik's more appealing to you.

Many sites offer default replacement eye sets for download -- just pick one you like. They can be installed just like any other download, but should ideally be placed in a subfolder named 'Default Replacement Eyes' or something like that so that they are easy to find if you later decide you like a different set better (since only one default set can be used at a time).

MTS2 is one of the best places to find default eyesets. Your favorite eyes might have already been made into defaults.
