Stupid question about Downloads folder

Oh, that makes sense.  Thank you.

I still don't get why people don't just create multiple sims 2 folders. I have a vanilla one - for testing, my cyberhood, a more traditional hood etc. I just rename the folders as needed depending on what I want to play. Much easier and quicker than swapping users all the time. Mind you, I am the only person on my PCs so I boot straight to the desktop, so don't bother with the welcome / login screen.

That's what I do, too. it's the easiest way for me to switch between building (totally clean), challenge (somewhat clean) and regular (chock-full-o-crap) configurations.

Because some of us believe that if we are going to grace others with our wonderful creations they can swallow everything and damn well get the necessary expansion packs?

Ya'll are just too nice.

Er, a clean game doesn't help with that anyway. Every EP you have installed is installed on the whole computer, and you have to go to great lengths to get around that (i.e. base game starter, etc.). A clean game is just an unmodified one -- it's for building with no custom content, or being able to have a medieval neighborhood full of default replacements without having all the medival content in your normal hood, or whatever.
