Stupid Maids Won't Compost

Maybe a path issue -- I seem to recall (before I got the hack we talked about earlier) that if the compost bin was in the maid's path to the trashcan (i.e., right by the front door), the maid would compost instead of schlepping all the way out to the trashcan.

I've had maids compost automatically, and maids who didn't do so. In the latter case, if I had a Sim interrupt them on the way the trashcan and then pick up the dropped trash and compost it, the maid would compost it the next time. It's like they need an example of the desired behavior or something.

This is the 'maids use compost' hack. I thought it wasn't working properly when I saw in game that maids still put newspapers in the trash, but just read that that is the way the hack works.
