Career rewards tend to suffer severe ADHD, period, unless launched via Skillinator. Don't even try to launch manually unless you Concentrate afterwards, since the actions for those are run as autonomous priority for some bizarrre reason.

When I have an adult and child skilling with career rewards and snow or rain appears, it stomps the action. This has happened numerous times on different lots. I have noticed a dramatic decrease in the weather reactions with my free-will Sims and no waking up in the middle of the night to gawk at the rain; for that I am thankful.

no i told them to watch it.

That might explain why kids have stomped skilling to go hug their dad coming home from work.... though I thought I had them on macro-do homework, but at least it explains when I've simply clicked on the bookcase.

C.S.:
It's a nightmare when the barista does this. I took a household of 6 to Pleasantview's Woodland Park to work on their fishing badges. It was the last day of spring and there were still occasional showers. My sims were macro-caffeinating when it started to rain and everything seemed to grind to a halt in front of the coffee cart. The barista and the sim trying to order a cup of coffee just stood there motionless. They weren't even blinking. I was unwilling to make the coffee guy selectable at first because the game will just spawn a new one if I did. When I finally did, there was a 'It's Raining!' reaction in the barista's action queue. Man! I ended up exiting to the neighbourhood. It would be great if the barista doesn't do it again. :(
