Cumputer help/recovering files

Kala:
My brother was in the process of moving my files to a larger drive (exturnal to exturnal) when he deleeted all the files on the hardrive. Ny brither didn't deleted the OS and he didn't reformat the drive. Is there any way my brother and I can recover the files ourselves?

Not really, no. It is very unlikely you will get those files back intact, even with undelete software.
