Cats have a strange affinity for can openers that defies the obvious food-based explanation. Because I have never fed my cat canned food, and he has no reason to expect food from a can, but he comes running anyway...not because he expects food, as far as I can tell, but just to watch.

Would it be possible to incorporate this change in to other items that use a "Come Here"-type action? For example: the bath tubs and mirrors. If you elect to wash your dog or change its appearance and it's on the other side of the lot, it will still leisurely walk its way to the tub/mirror instead of running as if the "Come Here" command had been issued.

Possible, but not a practical thing given how many options there are. Call them over manually first. :P
