Well, that sounds great, I am actually jealous, LOL.  I don't know what the problem could be then.  Wish I could help, but this is beyond me.  Hopefully someone else will have some advice for you.

No, my error logs still own yours, and no crashes in CAS. You could go into options and try turning off the music, If you want to eliminate that from your suspects. You could try removing all your custom hair/makeup/clothes and see if it is a dodgy download causing it.

I suppose I should go into CAS later and make sure mine hasn't decided to lock up in sympathy.  :-\

Thanks so much for trying to help..most appreciated!  :)

I'll try turning the music off and testing it. I have most of the audio option sliders set to the middle or 3/4 of the way over towards high. (By the way, I did update my sound drivers in hopes that would help..but it didnt't)
I'll also start pulling out skin related cc.

Question - what happens if I remove genetics/makeup/clothing from the game, that may already be on sims I created in game or in the family bin? Does it revert back to Maxis content?

Kitiara:
I have done this before, and all I can tell you is that sometimes they ended up with random Maxis hair, sometimes bald. The eyes will revert to Maxis, and clothing will as well ( in my game I had a lot of women walking around in beige capri pants with a red button up shirt) but probably all the same outfit.
I deleted a lot of cc trying to cull downloads. It was a pain, but other than the hilarity of bald women, no bad effects.
