I have had a similiar experience, but still havent found a cure, its slightly different to yours

I know this is a problem in your game that you want solved, but I can't help thinking something like this would have been a better robot face than the silly faces Maxis gave them.  Make them more like androids, but still obviously "not human" (or should that be "not sim"?)  Clearly the game is capable of doing this - even if it only does it when it's incapable of showing the correct face.

He's more like hologram sim than android, but still very cool.

Try using SimPe's sim surgery to change the afflicted sim's skintone, and see if that changes anything.

Btw, which default skintone package do you have installed?

Lin's edit of Loius' skintones (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=175159). Previously I'd been using defaults made in SimPE with the original version of those skins, and changed to Lin's version because of this problem.

Hummmm it seems this... was only affecting the light tan skintone. Switching the kid's skin to that of her fathers (which was the dark tan) and using the mirror fixed her.
I say 'was' because I recall ages ago that I had zombie faces on the kids CAS thumbnails, and was using a zombie skin replacement. I deleted that and everything is back to normal. xD It's not like I ever bother to make zombies anyway, I suppose.

Fish Dude, that is scary.  :o

I think that guy sat too close to the monitor, the screen has literally imprinted on his face. :P
