TSR actually has a lot of nice stuff in those area's ... if you trawl through crap & have a sub ( or a friend)
Try 'SassyPants' for some nice athletic stuff

athletic gear for men - my favourite site is www.sims2luxe.com. I love the colours they've done for the men. Also, cocosims does male Sims clothes, as well as Windkeeper's male swim trunks at TSR. |

sims2guys and hnote have great everyday stuff, but not much in the athletic division. Parsimonious have some truly bizarre hippy tracksuits, which I find amusing, but they are unlikely to be what you are looking for.
However, Parsimonious' new "finds" feature has a couple of websites on it that do have some athletic gear. They just updated it and I haven't had a chance to check all the sites, but it's worth a look.

I found a site ages ago called White Hibiscus that had some really nice trunks - similar to the teens long ones. I just tried the old link from my favourites but it just went to a page saying Coming soon Winter & Fall. You coud try and google it?
