buttons greyed out in cass

when I try to create a sim, I can click on make a sim and then all the buttons are greyed out, I can try on the clothes and delete the clothes but the save and all the rest except forthe cancell button are greyed out.
Could it be that I have too many sims in the neighborhood allready. I have 899 character files in strangetown. I do not have any other hoods to check and see if it is only strangetown. ???

Try making a dummy hood and see if you can make a sim in that one.

OMG please somebody help me. I made a dummy hood and they were still greyed out. I took out all of my recent skins and meshes, did not help.
fianally I reinstalled and with no downloads except for enable color options in my download folder, I can not even make a sim with the new install and no downloads.
It looks normal when I first go into cas, and I click on create a sim, then the hour glass spins and a sim pops up and then the buttons grey out again.
I only reinstalled NL, maybe I should install all of them again or should I make a new user profile and install the sims in there. Mine is not only broke, it is busted. :'(

What happens when you name the Sim? The same thing? I thought naming the Sim did more for them.

I could be mistaken, but I'm sure, even if you haven't selected anything or named the sim, the check mark will still be lit up. Because you can click on it early and it'll scream at you about not selecting aspirations or turn-ons.
