I hate the way the little camera pops up every time the maid/gardenera/mailman/what-have-you visits the house. I dimly recall seeing a hack that stopped the thingy from popping up, but I've forgotten where I saw it and what it was called (I recently formatted my hard drive and stupidly forgot to backup my hack folder). So can anyone help me?

You can turn it off in game. But that turns it off for all things - I assumed from the way the question is put that they would like to keep the function for some things just not have it for the service NPCs.

yeah, I have it turned off, and it never bothers me- it might say picture-in-picture or somethig like that

It is indeed called picture-in-picture, and in-game all you can do is turn it on and off, not adjust what triggers it.

I don't know what they want, but there was some discussion of a hack that tweaked it. I keep waffling on whether to turn it off myself; it does sometimes serve as the best warning for situations I'd like to know about, but... the service NPC bit and the occasional random popup that I can't even figure out what it's for are really annoying.

Yeah, I think the hack I had before just turned it off for unimportant events, such as the maid/gardener doing their daily rounds. I suppose I could just turn the whole thing off, but then I get paranoid about missing really important stuff. Ah well.

Yes TJ did the gardener, the maid and the mailman pip fix I am not sure why he removed them If you dont have nightlife u can use the mailman pip fix. I have OFB and the FFS and still use the other two. I think I have them all on my HD some where.

Yep, they were one of the casulties of the great hard drive crash and I didn't bother hunting them down to repost. I suppose I could give them a proper home again since they're back.
