Help with changing floor and wall attributes
« on: 2006 March 11, 01:56:01 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I have a lot of floors and walls that I have downloaded but they are all one dollar and do nothing for room environment.  I was looking at the package files in SimPE but I do not know what attribute to change.  Does anyone know what I need to change to increase it's effect on the room environment?

I was also wondering the same thing for some of the custom objects I have downloaded that have very low comfort or environment rating.  What would I change in the package file to increase these?

Thanks for any help.

I don't know about the furniture, but I can help with the walls and floors.

If you don't have it already, download Homecrafter from the official site. Open it up and it'll load all your walls and floors and terrain paints (it takes ages to open so you might want to go get a sandwich while it's doing that). Once you find the floor/wall you want (it's fairly easy to navigate) click on the edit icon at the bottom and you'll be able to change the price (which affects the environment). Save it and it will be imported into the game, and you're good to go.
