A thread is generally considered dead when there have been no replies to it for a month. WHICH YOU'D KNOW IF YOU LURKED MOAR AND READ THE FAQS YOU PISS STAIN.

Um, actually there are no official rules that dictate when a thread is considered dead. Some forums use a 3 month timeframe, some even longer.
