Sims From Exchange

I have a copy of my self sim saved at the exchange. When I go to download it from the launcher it throws an error at me and when I go to install it it says failed! I know I've recently downloaded a copy and it worked. Anyone know if this is something that happens and I just have to try again later or is it futile?

Have you tried going to your Sim's Exchange page via your browser, instead of using the Launcher? 

If you do it that way, choose to Save File rather than Add to Game.
