Assistance with unlocks please. Sci-Fi crystals and mailbox
nosoupforyou:
Hello everyone.
Lunar Lakes was released and of course EA forgot to enable some of the items, namely the four crystals and the mailbox.
Having never created a package file before I managed to bumble my way through it and have succeeded in enabling the four crystals and the mailbox in the catalogue.
However, the crystals appear as small silver circles in any world other than Lunar Lakes. The mailbox appears fine in the lawn ornaments category. Crystals work fine in Lunar Lakes and are in the rocks category.
Please, does anyone here know what I did wrong? I'm sure it's a fair bit but please go easy on me, it's my first ever attempt at this sort of thing.
The files are on this page if any of you would be kind enough to take a look: http://www.thesimalogue.com/ts3-sci-fi-collection.html
I've removed the file for the moment until I learn what I'm doing better. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: Mailbox is back up. It's an override version made thanks to the help of kissing toast, who helped me to work out what I was doing. In doing so, I went and unlocked some base game objects too, just for practice. They're all available here: http://www.thesimalogue.com/ts3-sci-fi-collection.html

Without the original packages and files it would be hard to figure out what you did. The only thing you should have done, in theory since I'm not doing it, is change the "shown in catalogue" to true instead of false in the OBJD files. That way you only need to include the OBJDs in your package, not all that other junk. If you are going to distribute these may I suggest doing this with the vanilla packages to make them default replacements for the legit users, then just decrap a copy of it for the pirates.

Hi Kissing_toast. Thank you for replying.
I see what I've done, then. I've messed it up by decrapifying them first.
There's my problem, I guess. I decrapped because I was unable to open the files to edit without doing so.
Can you suggest another way? I used S3PE. What am I missing?
Thank you for your help again. It's difficult doing this on my first go and I appreciate it.
kissing_toast:
Don't decrap, drag the file over s3rc only.

These objects have to be more than simply "unlocked" to be usable in other worlds because they are not separate objects from the Lunar Lakes package. To make them available for other worlds, they must be cloned and then unlocked. It's a really simple process, and only requires s3oc in addition to s3pe.
I've gone ahead and done it, and the links are below. But I apologize, as after I finished, I realized that maybe you would have like to have done it yourself. Oh, well. You can still do it yourself and ignore my files, if you like. Because these objects are cloned, anyone can use them, whether they have installed Lunar Lakes or not. Also, it does not matter whether or not you have a de-crapped Lunar Lakes.
Edit: Files have now been recompressed so that they are a bit smaller.
Edit 2: All rock crystals are now available in the World Editor. Please re-download if you want this functionality. Enjoy.
