My Anti-Virus Program suddenly deletes the cracked .exe für M&G (solved)
(1/1)
mkir:
I've played Sims2 with cracked .exe files to avoid SecuRom. I was busy with other games last year, but saw my virus program suddenly detect a virus in the M&G cracked exe and delete it some months ago. I figured I'd fix whatever it was when I got back to playing.
Now that I'd like to play again, I tried downloading a new cracked .exe, but each and every one from different sources makes my Antivirus Program (Avira AntiVir Personal) scream that it contains a Trojan and delete it. I even tried copying over the cracked .exe from a backup that is from this computer which has previously worked with no probem (while using the same AV Program), but Avira now insists it's malware.
I am a bit leery of installing new antivirus protection for just this issue (especially since I don't know if using a different program will fix this), but I really want to play Sims2 again...
Is there a way to avoid SecuRom without using a cracked .exe file?
kissing_toast:
Cracked .exes always show up as viruses, just use it anyways.
Dark Trepie:
Most AV programs come with an exception list. Try listing your crack in that.
mkir:
oooh, I had no idea there were exception lists in scanner!
Thank you!
