How to install legally purchased TS3 on second PC

Inge:
I want to install basegame on separate PC for tool testing purposes.  EA on the other hand appear to have other ideas and stop it running.   Is there a post around here dealing with how to get around that?

J. M. Pescado:
Err...you put the CD in and you install it?

Inge:
I installed it.  But it refused to run, as presumably the key wouldn't validate on a 2nd machine.

My base TS3 game was legally purchased, and I've had it installed on 3 separate computers since I've had it. I don't think it has anything to do with some sort of protection thing they've got going with their game. Same thing for the Arr'ed expansions as well, I've never encountered a time where they wouldn't install on another computer.

Err, what? Did you enter the CDkey in correctly?
