Night Life : sims ONLY uses Taxi (refuse to use vehicles)

somehow my sims now only uses Taxi and not use vehicles at home, i sold my car and bought a new (different) one and set it to use as "preferred" vehicle and sims still uses taxi no matter what.

anyone had encountered this before? how do i fix it?

Do you have Ambitions? If so, does your sim have a harvester in their inventory?

is this one like the grocery store bug??

I am unfamiliar with the 'Grocery Store Bug'. Remove the harvester (if you can), and your sim will resume using other means of transit.

I believe the 'Grocery Store Bug" being referred to is where you couldn't buy/sell at the grocery store if you had special seeds in your inventory.  So far I have not seen an issue with having the harvester in the inventory, next time I'm playing, I'll pay closer attention to what transport those sims use.
