You are a moron. If you do not even know how to establish the BASIC fucking premise of whether it was a mod or the game itself fucking up, I'm afraid you are just too stupid to be allowed to use mods. This isn't an AwesomeMod issue. It isn't even a bug, it's just an entirely harmless oddity. The sims disentangle themselves just fine when their AI kicks in and they start doing things.
