Barnacle Bay Diner (Hogan's Deep Sea Diner) Issue
Lt. Vasquez:
The Barnacle Bay Rabbit Hole, Hogan's Deep Sea Diner, is not placed in its lot when the world is loaded for the first time. I just got through talking to the community at the The Sims 3 website, who didn't help. Then I went on to get help from the Tech Support staff online, they at least answered my question about it.
Now what I'm trying to say is, it IS a known issue by EAxis, and they are investigating the cause. But there IS a workaround, it is not a perfect one, but it'll at least get the lot to where it should be. You have to put the cheat "moveobjects on" and place the diner Rabbit Hole (in Edit Town mode) where it should be. The diner will then be there.
I hope at least some people found this useful.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I did a search for this, and came up with literally nothing, so this topic apparently was not brought up. If this is in the wrong place, direct me to where I should post it instead.
Proofreading is going to be my best friend here.
Jeebus:
In other words, there's no diner in Barnacle Bay, so you have to place one. Why would you need an EAxoid to tell you that?

Pretty much, but I didn't contact the EAxoid about not placing it, but rather if it should actually be there. Because that got me to wondering whether it was just a clever marketing scheme to get you to buy it then find out you have to do work to to finish it.
But I guess that's just my inner Conspiracy Theorist.

The more plausible conclusion is that the game developers are a bunch of incompetent idiots.
Madame Mim:
You take all the fun out of it jeebuschrist. I wanted to say that.
So I will - so the work-around was to fix it yourself??
