Why are so many objects glowing?

I haven't played in ages because I switched from Windows to Ubuntu. I have all the expansions and stuff packs. I have an Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 with 1024MB. All my graphics settings are on High. The game runs perfectly on Ubuntu using Wine & PlayOnLinux, with one exception. Light colored objects under a light have a glow effect that is driving me crazy. I don't know what setting in the game or the Nvidia tool, if any, I can adjust to get rid of it. Here's what it looks like (click for larger image):



Any ideas? I'm at my wit's end.

Awesome, thanks so much. I turned off the "Enable Advanced Rendering" and things look so much better now. I had hesitated to turn that off before because I thought the game needed full use of 2.0 shaders.
