AwesomeMod Updater (v2.8.3 - Updated 2013-10-16)

<< < (30/61) > >>

Swat:
The updater bat is giving me an error code 9, read the readme;

Code:

Error code 9

Meaning:       The updater didn't move 3booter and/or FPS Limiter into the right folder.
If you see this error code, the Updater has already downloaded the necessary files. To save disk space, you can press 1 to let the Updater clean up the download folder.

I check, 3booter is in the Late Night directory. I'm going to try and reinstall/redownload the updater manually, see what it gives me. 3booter worked on it's own.

Same error for me. I didn't even change anything.

Think a log file will help a lot with debugging but ditto on the error code 9.  Tested this on a properly patched Sims 3 with 3booter and fpslimiter on a Win 7 64 bit Ultimate installation.  It prompts me that there is a new update (uhhh...there shouldn't be) then borks out with the error when I press option 2 to continue.  Option 1 spits out a paragraph of text including an update.zip not found then self closes even when I run the bat file via cmd /k.

Error 9 means something else:
Code:

Error code 9

Meaning:       The updater couldn't check for compatibility with your game version. This is probably because the server is down.

How to solve:  Try again later or check your internet connection.
Do you have an old readme file?

To all:
It turns out that I was 'abusing' the file host. They removed all files and pages, so the updater can't check for newer versions or download compatibility.txt to check for patch compatibility.
I am now working on v2.4.1, which will remove all update checks and other things which involve that file host. I'll have to find a new one, which doesn't remove everything for... uh, semi-abuse.
Update coming soon.
EDIT: It's there.
EDIT2: Patch compatibility check and test version download wil return in v2.5. Auto-update option will change to a notification.

Updated to v2.4.1 (v2.4.1.110)

J. M. Pescado:
You know I could give you a bukkit for this sort of thing, if you know how to use a Unixbukkit.
