That's a marketing strategy? I'm quite surprised. It didn't sell me on anything but to just pirate the shit for the lulz of laughing at either the lack of creativity, the borkishness, the odd looking stencils and/or the strange categorization. I surely didn't spend much money. Besides, anything in the store can pretty much be found somewhere else (or the same style of item) and with much better quality and playability.

It does come with the Industrial Stove. There's one on the lot itself and also in buy mode. Yours has probably been replaced with some other stove due to installation issues.

I've re-done everything and the stove appears as a grey sphere. No idea what's going on there...

The gray sphere can appear when the game is unable to find the resources needed for an object, which makes it sound like it could be an installation problem. Try re-naming your Sims 3 Folder and installing the set just so see if everything shows up properly. If it does, there's something wrong in your old folder.
Also, how are you installing the set and have you tried deleting the caches?
