This is a known issue and getting a new copy won't help. Clara made a standalone fix. KT's store fixes package includes one as well.

Do you ever get "curious" about what the "Search" box at the top of the screen does?

Wow. You're a month late to the party.
I figured as much, call it living in South America, Peru and having bad internet connection. So I guess I am not the only one having this issue? Is there a way to fix it?
