Crazy fast animations?

Hi hi! ^_^
Well I Just reinstalled all TS3 games after upgrading my video card and computer a tiny bit. And so I loaded up TS3 to see if it was any faster or still laggy/skippy. Well it turns out its definitely not slow, it's fast... too fast... My sims seem like they're in a constant "Fast forward" motion.
Upon loading CAS the sim looks as if it's panting for breath and/or hyper ventilating... :-X and regular in game animations on speed 1 look as if I had them on fast forward on speed 3. It's kinda weird and annoying, but after searching awhile, couldn't seem to find any info on this.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be, or how to fix it?

Take this as dvice from someone who isn't exactly computer savvy, but when you re-installed, did you check your "Options" and make certain that they were compatible with your new computer's speed? Maybe you need to mess around with the graphics settings, up the detail, etc. This is just a guess though.

Thanks for your advice, and yes it does seem that was the problem. That was one of the first things I had checked before, (I know it sounds obvious) however as I was adjusting the settings, I hadnt restarted the game each time, so maybe some of those changes weren't registering. However after messing with it enough, and restarting the game a few times, the problem seems to be fixed... So I'm assuming this was the case... Thank you ^_^
