Xmas Tree Glitch?

I have just puchased Happy Holiday Stuff for TS2. I read on a thread ages ago that the trees included can catch fire if left on. Well I set the tree on fire. The Fire Department came and put it out, but it looks likes its still on fire. And the best part? Nobody gives a damn! They walk past it, no alarm and I can still interact with the item. But I can't go into build/buy or save. Any ideas? ???

Hrm. Usually you're still allowed to enter build/buy mode when there are stuck fires. Have you tried forcing an error on it?

I want to know if it's normal not to be able to turn the tree on ever again after it catches on fire.

I think it's perfectly normal that the tree won't turn on again after it's been on fire. The thing that surprises me is that it doesn't look burnt afterwards.
