help me update the sims 3...

i'm new here. and i just don't know how to update my sims3 from 1.0.631.00002 to the latest 1.7, i need to update my game 'cause i like to install world adventures. My download was a razor1911. and everytime i update i get an error.

Read the FAQ and then use your shift key. That is how to update in future.
