Get rid of a lifetime reward: specifically Eye Candy

Does anyone know if there's a way to get rid of a Lifetime Reward once it's been purchased? Specifically, I gave Eye Candy to one of my Sims and the constant GLITTER!GLIMMER!SHIMMER! is on my nerve. Besides that, there's the seriously creepy vibe I get when I realize that HER CHILD has a positive moodlet because the mom has Eye Candy. I tried control-clicking but it doesn't go away. Tips? Thanks!
