Framerate is fine in base hood, but slows significantly in location.

I went into regedit, and the only Sims I can find is under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Electronic Arts/Sims 3/Settings. There's no option to change the code under this setting. If anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be awesome

After Software, don't stop at Electronic Arts, scroll further down to Sims, then click Sims 3 and right click the SKU and choose modify.

I cannot install the expansion because of the region the game thinks it is.
You want to fix this? In regedit...
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Sims\The Sims 3
Change SKU value to 7.
Then yay, it installs. Screw EA.
