For some of us, that is part of the fun. Make perfect idyllic life. Rule with iron fist. I delight in telling my sims that they cannot have this career because it is not allowed in their caste, or that their boyfriend must die since I've found out he is Romance, or that their extra alien spawn must be eaten since there can only be one Guardian. They cannot have a pony.
