Okay, I've been out of the loop for a few days (weeks?) now but have noticed that this hair

To avoid confusion, shouldn't this be January_2010?

Look one post up from your own:

Sure looks like the 50's and BauHaus sets to me.

Just download the packages and place them in your Mods/packages folder.

When I click the download it shows as a 4share EXE    Huh   Not a zip file, nor as packages.  I really am hesitent to click EXE files for obvious reasons.

Hey Skadi, Apologies for the misleading quote- these seem to work fine but some of the AF hairs (post now moved to other thread so couldn't reply to it!) didn't work for me, when I extracted them winrar claimed they were corrupted, and while the package file appears in the location, they don't actually install to the game.

I changed the way I had my files listed. Mostly because I figured out how to change my objects and what categories they showed up in and I wanted to get the number of files down a bit more too in order to speed up my game. There are now only 10 files containing all of the items with the exception of Riverview.

I also got all of the new Feb items done.

Thank you for taking the time to do that exangel.

I was just wondering, in the August 2009 package download description, it says that the JCP set was not included and then extra meshes, I was just wondering is the JCP set in any of the packages?

Thanks Smiley

The thing is I was comparing the items from the JCP set and they are the exact same meshes as ones that were in the loose items so I didn't include the duplicates because of space and well so they wouldn't have 2 spots in CAS like they did have. They were the exact same just textured different, and no unique textures were with it either.

Also gonna fix the Jan one, can't believe I did that. Guess I just got used to typing 2009 after a while. LOL

I think you might be clicking on the wrong thing. You are probably downloading the 4shared utility thing they have. Look for the button that says "Download Now No virus detected" it's gray. Not the green one or the ones at the top of the page that have boxes on them. Those are the wrong buttons to click.

Exangel, I tried to PM you, but, it says your inbox is full - I was wondering if you got the afshoesclasspumpbow? It doesn't show up in the Fanciful Fashions set - it had to be downloaded and intalled seperately.  Drakron pointed that out in the thread The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here, page 13, reply #318 - Drakron put it up for download.  If you didn't have it, you'll need to download it, put it in .package, and put it up with the rest of your 4shared files.  Thanks for putting the store stuff in .package.

Ok - I was thinking of those shoes not showing up when I saw that you changed your files.  That makes it easier to have each months update in one package.  I love the way you did that - now if EA would only fix their launcher not insalling Sims3pack files.

I'm sure this issue is quite common. I can generically kludge this just like I did the generic kludge for A/YA uniforms where people mistakenly tag them wrong.

I added a file for riverview to my files. http://www.4shared.com/file/222072505/4121bc3d/riverview.html This is just the objects and clothes not the world. Also I set the clothes to non-random so that there wouldn't be so many sims running around in them.

With this fix you can have them for the sims you want them for but not on just any and every random sim. It's just like the fix I did for the holiday clothes. I did this mostly because I had like 20 townies running around in overalls and santa hats making me crazy in one of my hoods. Now I can have the items and not the annoyance.

Most fixes are not retroactive, so you will have to "reset" the hair.

I take back what I said. I went to CAS and reselected the style and it now stays when nude. I will have to remove Knightguy's file though as the hair shows up twice with that included.

Is it intentional that the mad scientist and singed hair are also selectable now?

Edited my old post to say:

I had originally wondered out loud if exangel's awesome file collection and Awesome Mod were conflicting, but with further digging I found my problem and fixed it!  It has nothing to do with AM or the collection.  So I am back to loving exangel's collection and no longer crashing.

If anyone else is CTD during game play check out this thread: http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=375907 and do it for HELS.  I had forgotten I did that a long time ago.

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Last evening I played the Fargo world posted by The Goddess and kept experiencing freezes, some that would last for a minute or more. I haven't experienced any CTD since my CFF Explorer changes, and only once did I have to resort to ending the program with the Task Manager, but the freezes were frequent enough to be annoying. I also updated my AM and I have exangel's (kudos to you, exangel, for doing that) Jan and Feb package files.

When I first downloaded exangel's files, BTW, I had a lot of lagging in my game but that turned out to be due to having some duplicate items installed. As soon as I identified and deleted the duplicates, the lagging stopped. But last night was a different issue. I don't know if it has anything to do with AM or not, or if it's even related to your issue, but since you asked I thought I'd mention it. I'm going to run the Process Monitor in a bit to see if that results in any useful info.
