THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Hello.

I'm new. I don't know if I should be asking this here, and I'm sorry if I'm misplacing my post.

I've installed the Tiki Set from the store, and I don't know why but one pattern is missing from it, and the objetcs show up with black parts in the game. The launcher says the Pattern is installed but it doesn't show a picture of it, it's blank.

Does anyone have the same problem? Can anyone point me to a place where I can download the full set again or... any solutions?

Thanks!

I've had the same issue before, the only solution seems to be to totally reinstall the set again.

That's odd. Reinstalling, and being careful about not deleting anything from the pattern section the the launcher has worked for me. :/ .. But, if that does not work, try unpacking the simspack with this, and dropping the pattern and sticking the extracted product in your mods folder.

Ok so I've just come from the Store downloads thread and was wondering if anybody has a working download link for the second update? The current link takes me to a valid download page but IF the download actually begins it never progresses past 1% and then times out.

I'd like to get some of the store stuff, but I don't understand how to install them.  What is compressorizer redux and why do I need it to put stuff in the Sims 3 game?  And how do I keep EA from knowing that I'm putting them in the game?  Sorry for being so ignorant.

If you can use your little phalanges to type this, you can certainly do a search here on the compressorizer and what it does and how to install things.

You need the TS3 Recompressor so that the sims3packs will install correctly. If you don't recompress them you most likely will get errors when trying to install them.

Go here to download the TS3 Recompressor (s3rc-win.zip) by Pescado & extract it to your desktop.
http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15129.0.html

Now download the store items you wish to install and unrar/unzip them to your desktop, then drag and drop each .sims3pack file onto the recompressor tool. You won't actually see the tool do anything to the file but your screen might flash for a split second. Once you have recompressed all your .sims3pack files install as normal.

You don't need to do anything to keep EA from knowing your installing them. The only way EA would know is if they read here at MATY (which i'm sure they do) or you do like the woman who was on the news the other night. She called the police from her cell phone to report there was a drunk driver on the road. She wanted to give them the direction the driver was headed in so they could come out & pull that person over to arrest them. When asked if she had a description & license number of the car she said yes & gave them hers Shocked

So no, EA will not know unless you tell them Cheesy

Stop encouraging them. The forums have a search function. Befriend it.

If you constantly hold their little hands, how will they ever learn to find things on their own?

Edit: Also pointing out, the poster asked about Compressorizer Redux. Which is by Jfade. Again, search is your friend. It doesn't bite when clicked.

I know they asked about Jfades tool, but i have found it's much easier to explain how to use Pescados tool then to explain to them Jfades. That way the noobs will understand.

tho maybe the "How to install custom content" instructions in the 2nd post of the main thread need to be made more simple for chocoloti?  Huh

an there's a direct link to the Compressorizer Redux if they bothered to read said instructions  Roll Eyes
