I didn't know there was such a thing. Googled it, seems like an Australian only (?) rerelease of the basegame with "special DVD features":

DVD edition special features: 1 on 1 Sims 2 movie making tutorial, director made Sims 2 Movies, Movie outtakes, wallpapers, instant messaging kits, movies and screens of the game, interviews with directors/producers of game, expert interviews "hints and tips for secret gameplay strats", tips on evolving famility tree.

Sounds pretty useless to me.

Where did you find that price? If it was at EBGames, they overcharge in Australia a LOT (I would know, i live in Australia)

Google. It's the full retail price, which you always assume EB would charge anyway. I'm sure they'd LOVE to scam their customers with $50 copies of TS2. I'd tell them to go and arr a Sims 2 Complete torrent and download the extras off their website if they so desperately wanted them.

It's called "The Sims 2 Remastered", because, having slipped from their grasp, by "remastering", they can make you their bitch again for another $40-50, apparently.

Perhaps they'll remaster the splash music.  That should have the sheep coughing up their dough, since it seems to be one of their fave features of the game.
