Think it's probably time for you to take No Jealousy out then.  Cheesy

This is what I done yesterday and all my matched Sims (I'm now leaving alone...) are more receptive to my flirty Sim! (almost everybody is flirty in my game!). I just let the "Teen Autonomy Woohoo Pregnancy". I'll see what happen lol!

The other packages in that override directory work just fine.

I had only the Jealousy mod in the Override file. You think I'm wrong with the Override files place? it's the only way for it to work (alongside with "packages" in Mods), because it set priority or I dont know what I havent done it but I installed it this way and it worked. have a good day!

High goes before low. Assume the default game files have a priority of 0, so anything with a negative priority will not be used, anything with higher priority goes before lower.

In this example, a mod in Mods/packages/Override will be read/applied first, then mods in Mods/Packages/, then mods in Mods/Packages/Test, then default game files, and  Mods/packages/Probation/ last.

The above Resource.cfg is problematic though, since * matches all, so 'Override' and 'Test' mods will also be matched by priority 500.

Interesting... if I understand well, in the following example, anything in the "Packages" file, whatever is position in the file tree, will be priority 500?

Priority 500
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*.package
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*/*.package
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*/*/*.package
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*/*/*/*.package
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*/*/*/*/*.package

Thanks

Since it is a .package file, it will need to take priority over certain XML in your awesome package file.  To do that, I suggest using the Resource.cfg that is included in the .zip file.  It goes in your main "The Sims 3" program folder, overwriting your default - back that one up first if you like.  You then need to create an "Override" folder at the same level as your Packages folder (i.e. the path might be: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Override), and then drop the included .package mod file in that override directory.
I think I found a much simpler way to make it work.  I am using your resource.cfg and I just disable the "Use Awesome Jealousy" in AwesomeMod. Works great!  Grin

What does the Awesome jealousy routine do? I swear I've searched everywhere in this forum, and in the wiki and readme's and I can't find any description of what it actually does and what the differences are between Awesome and EA's.

I posted this in another thread and I doubt it's going to be answered there...

Quote
"UseAwesomeJealousy - Don't use EA jealousy code: Must be on to use any other jealousy modes."

Does this turn OFF jealousy, or does it use a special Pescado jealousy routine? If so, what are the features/differences of the Awesome jealousy code as compared with EA's?

It's basically about the same as the Romance Mod version in TS2. Also, removes the psychic ability to sense things while asleep.

What if they're both awake but in different room? On different floors?

pardon this, please, don't hit me for intruding...kicking is ok, but not in the face and don't sweep the leg.

in reguard to not liking/liking the jealousy code, (3 or 5th post into this thread) I agree, if I had the talent, I'd set up the code, as witnessable (line of sight?) and instead of the moodlet, have the offended party throw a hissy & setting fire to any nearby item, which if it happens to the bed where the offender and his new playmate or sleeping, well nobody ever promised these sims a rose garden.

IIRC there were some proximity settings for the normal jealousy reactions that I could have lowered instead of setting to 0, it was just the woohoo reaction that went out to the entire lot. My intention was to completely remove it though, so I never even attempted simply toning the reactions down.

Thanks for making it compatible and posting it here. I haven't played in a while so I wasn't paying attention to new conflicts or the SimLogical forums going down.

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Forgive me if I'm being dense here. I've been using this mod for a few days now. It seemed to work fine at first, but now I'm noticing that it's behaving less like a 'no jealousy' mod and more like a 'no jealousy (as long as the sims in question couldn't realistically have heard what was going on in that bed)' mod. Early on, I may have inadvertantly been keeping the potentially jealous sims away from any activity that would have made them jealous. Assuming that the mod is behaving as it was intended, is there any way to completely disable jealousy? If the mod isn't behaving as intended, does anyone have any idea why?

FYI; I have installed:
Awesomemod (latest version AFAIK)
"No Jealousy" for AwesomeMod
Kolipoki Hidden Stat Viewer
Hidden Traits Unlocker by Treeag
Delphy's TS3InstallerHelper
An assortment of clothing, skins, & sims.

I did, briefly, have a polygamy mod by Lostaccount installed. I was, and still am unclear on the what a 'core mod' is, so I removed it as soon as I read that it was incompatible with Awesomemod (I saw no glitches in my game, and I never went as far as to test it out before removing it).
Also, I cleared my game's cache.

Again, I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to be asking about this, but as this thread is for the very mod I'm asking about it seems the logical place to post this. Thanks for any help you can give me. Smiley
