I have to say that I love the concept of reality in this game (always have), and that's why I love the Pedobear addition to Awesomemod because, frankly, in most cases (when caught, that is), Pedobear would go to jail, loli dick tease or not, and be labeled for the rest of his/her life, accordingly, a la The Scarlet Letter.

Actually now that I think about it the teen going to school from 9AM-2PM instead of 3PM would actually reflect a high school schedule in many countries (Though some high schools also go longer then middle/primary schools), and then if you base their age on typical High School ages they would be between 14-18 or if you use the UK definition of High School it could mean 10-14(pre-secondary school) or 13-18(secondary school) depending on whether it's Welsh, or Scottish. This of course only applies to the real world. The rule of 6 isn't the best way to define Sim ages but it does work at least on the day of the sims birthday, and if someone really wanted to they could easily redefine the age lengths to fit a more realistic range. I would actually prefer if there was an age of consent which preferably could be user defined where the teen would gain the socials and interactions typically blocked for teens. This would be useful as in the UK the age of consent is 16 whereupon a person can get a full-time job, get married, have kids, but can't legally drink alcohol or drive, while in the US age of consent is 18 and yet certain things like legally drinking alcohol still requires waiting until your older. The period between age of consent and when the sim becomes a YA would be like that period before they gain all the rights of an adult.

I have two problems with your argument:

First, you quote wikipedia. Decent secondary source, but do not use it to argue a point. Find a better source. In this instance it's not that big of a deal, but in the real world I'd p&l at anyone who used wikipedia as a primary source.

Second, in The Sims 3 there is no middle school. The high school is taking the place of real world high school AND middle school, roughly 6-7 years spanning ages 12-18.

Actually there is no way to really tell when middle school falls into the Sims system as children go to their school long enough to easily count as primary/elementary school and middle school/Jr. High School, while the teens could also be said to go through middle school and then continue on to High School. Based on the fact that 12 isn't actually considered a teen would make me argue that a teen would be a high schooler from 14-18 since often 13 isn't considered either.

EDIT: Regardless of this fact the only thing that really matters is age of consent which in the default Sims 3 world would be something like age 20

I don't see any problem here because I am sure that a lot of Americans would correct my information if Wikipedia was wrong.

Even though I live in Denmark I am playing the game in US English because I prefer to play in the original language. The translation to Danish is awful and it wouldn't prove anything. In Denmark Middle School was abolished about 60 years ago. So we have no problem with children going directly from Primary School to High School. They do that in Denmark when they are about 16 years old. But the game is based on the school system in the United States.

That is because we didn't have a YA category pre-Uni, and post-Uni it didn't do anything. In TS23, it's quite clear that Teen is 12, as evidenced by the fact that they go to 12-SCHOOL, and YA is 18+ (although there is no Uni).

In fact, with a few unusually extended age categories, most of the ages are roughly to scale.

InGame ratios:

Scaled to live human years, you'd get
1: 0s.
1: 6ses
1: 12s.
3: YA (18-36)

So compared to real life, they distorted the length of the baby/toddler phase a bit too much, the full-Adult stage is probably a bit longish, and they are 12 way too damn long, which probably is consistent with how their parents (and everyone else on the Internets) feel. Other than the grossly-distorted 12-length, it is fairly accurate. I can probably whip up a hack to rescale things to be closer to real.

Starting YA or at least consent at 16 may be in line with most of the world.

Edit: I finally caved in and accessed a pc to dig into AgingManager. Your ideal, 7 days equalling 6 years, would look like this:
0.285  Baby (about a year 8 1/2 months) 2 days on standard
0.714  Toddler (to end at 6) 5 days on standard
1  Child (to 12)
1  Teen (to 18)
3  YA (to 36)
4  A (to 60)
3  E (to 78)

Personally, I'm changing the 7 day period to 6, to allow 1 day to equal 1 year:
0.333  Baby
0.666  Toddler
1  Child (to 12)
1  Teen (to 18)
4  YA (to 42)
5  A (to 72)
3  E (to 90)

Changing Long from 15 day periods to 24, makes 1 day = a trimester or season
Changing Epic from 75 to 72 would make 1 day = a month.

In Denmark we have a special pre-Primary school class for 6 years old kids. This class is an optional class even though it may soon be mandatory.
Primary school in Denmark has 10 grades. But only class 1 to 9 are mandatory.
High School has 3 grades but it isn't mandatory yet. Our biggest political party has already 3 times during the last 8 years proposed, that it should be though. I think that that proposal will become law within 5 to 10 years from now. So we will probably end up having 13 years of mandatory school from age 6 to 19.

Well, I didn't notice. But I have seen that Pescado isn't an egomaniac who doesn't want to help people. If he was he wouldn't have made the hack that easy to use for other people than himself.

I don't know him personally. But his attitude seems to be like the attitude of many other highly intelligent experts I have known: They like to help people. But they hate stupid people who don't understand what they tell them and keep asking the same questions that they have already answered. Uh, after the teen sim girl or boy is created (and you are out of CAS and actually in a house), you have to manually add the trait by opening up the control console and typing:  setconfig addtrait pedobait.  Of course, "setconfig EnablePedophilia true" and "setconfig Enable12Woohoo true" must be enabled, too (or at least the pedophilia option if you just want to send pedobear sims to jail).  Make sure you are currently on the teen sim to which you wish to add it.

To urbanbaby:  When you downloaded the mod, there was this little text file called RTFM that had all you needed to know about commands and such.  Perhaps you should have read the fucking material.

I now have this mod... but i can't seem to get it working..

Let me explain:

My sim is a teen and he is living with a female YA they have flirted and kissed, they are now best friends but i don't get any options to woo-hoo, propose  or try for a baby..

Can anyone help?

Do you have Awesomemod and Inteen 3/Teen Woohoo together?  If together, you have to have the commands enabled that I mentioned on the last page.

Two, you really shouldn't accept other sites' substitutes.  You should download Awesomemod here because then you'll get all you need to know so you don't ask questions that make you look ignorant.

OK, having to modify again.  Inteen 3 is what Dizzy ended up calling it elsewhere.  In any case, I have just Teen Preg v.3 in my folder (because I believe the latest version of Awesomemod fixed the bed stuck issue, and I don't think you need Woohoo and Preg v.3 together, but don't quote me on that) along with Awesomemod.  With those two together, when I go into the game, I bring up the cheat/command console and type in "setconfig Enable12Woohoo true" (hit enter), then "setconfig EnablePedophilia true" (hit enter again).  My teen sim is now pregnant after much flirting and crap.  It takes a while for the woohoo/try for baby options to come up.  Just romance like crazy until you see something pop up.

However, be aware with the two together, you can't have marriage (at least for Teen/YA, Adult, or Elder, I think.  I could with Teen/Teen).

Having looked through it, I notice that Awesomemod has the socialization XML.
Not knowing much about what I am doing, I think that this means that most socialization commands contained in the TeenPregnancy package will not work with the Awesomemod package. Bed Woohoo interaction works because it is separate from the socialization commands. Compare that to things like Marriage and Listen to Tummy, which doesn't work with Awesomemod and are part of the socialization XML. The solution, as you said, is to dump any substitute and use Awesomemod, just make your own mod to it to allow the interactions you want. Mod the Sims has a tutorial on how to do that. Besides the same sex pregnancy, I don't think that TeenPregnancy allows anything special that Awesomemod doesn't.

Of course some people are too busy fantasizing about aids dicks to be able to figure out how to find information they need, so no doubt TeenPregnancy will still come in handy for some.

Anyway, I'm not in competition with awesome mod. I'd be the first to admit that I had awesome mod in my game before I started going at this teen woohoo stuff. Then I ended up having to mod the core package to do the things I wanted for the adult version and that was that. Wasn't like I deliberately set out to compete with anything or anyone. But all that is academic, or soon will be, since it looks as if there will soon be a trainer or somesuch that includes most or all of the options in both awesome and my mods and just about any/every mod. Not that I give a shit one way or the other. I would if I'd spent my whole life doing this crap, but a week, two weeks, nah, a diversion, a side trip, a little bump in the road on the way to where I was going. That's all.
