Yeah I thought the same thing about the SS...but then again, that's how it was/is with the Sims 2...so I guess it shouldn't be all THAT surprising.

Since when? EA store crap isn't shared through the booty. That is only for payshit. EA actually has the right to charge for their own crap if they want to which is why the Store stuff isn't in the booty.
