This girl was in my sim bin today. I must have downloaded her (duh) but, obviously I don't remember downloading a giraffe necked mutant.
And here is a lovely, baby lock ness monster, spawn child, frolicking in my park.

The Eighties Guy, I noticed child sims look like that after they age to a teen on a community lot. TBH, I have a lot of them that look like that. (No pictures tho. lol)

If you just leave the camera still and focus on those blocky sims for a while, they straighten out and finish completely rendering. That happens a lot when you are starting the game or especially if you have deleted your caches.

So I was just about to get the daughter of my screwup family to put the final moves on her not-yet-boyfriend romantic interest Harris, and what do I get but a pop up from Indie Stone telling me he's now dating poor Herstory's own mom:
Her dead mom. She's not even a playable ghost!
Not that I can really blame him, girl is hideous, and I probably shouldn't let my boyfriend name my sims.
