How Many Townies do you have?

In my main legacy family neighbourhood I have
110 townies/dormies/downtownies
134 NPCs
2 dead moved in townies
2 dead moved in NPCs
11 living moved in townies/dormies
3 living moved in NPCs
1 dead CAS sim
2 dead born in game sims
30 living born in game sims
the Maxis Uni premade sims (academie Le tour) can't be bothered to count them
14 of my brothers (deleted) sims
1 dead nanny
That makes 310 sims total (not including the Maxis uni premades).
I did all this counting in SimPE.

My main nieghbourhood has 532, that's alot of townies! I always thought there was alot when I play but never knew it was that many eeek!!
Would it be too late to put any hacks in to fix this to a much lower level?

Not to mention, the files are in numerical order. If you have 100 sims you'll have N006_User00000.package through N006_User00100.package. For my hood, I'm counting dead, alive and all other NPC/Townie characters like so:

N002 = Strangetown
N003 = Veronaville
N004 and more are your custom hood
If you know how many created Sims you have in each hood, you deduct that number and you will know approx. how many townies/NPC you have.
Oh thanks :) I have 196 in my custom n'hood-I deleted the maxis ones ;)
Daughter #1 has 283 (she is playing in uni too-myself and other daughter have yet to create uni's)
Daughter #2 has 178
So altogether we have 657 in-game...is that ok? :-\

Oh yes, the number 1000 is per neighborhood not all together and it should, according to Maxis, have been enlarge to a bigger number if you have Nightlife but we have no idea how big, so you can have plenty of babies in your game or create new ones without having to worry about a thing. ;D
