AL patch 2 + Apartment Life v1.16.0.194 No-CD?

I have been away from the sims for a while. So I take it that the current patch for AL on the EA site is patch 2? Is it good to patch with it (bug and mod compatibility wise)?

If I patch, is v1.16.0.194 No-CD the one to go with it? Thanks.

ALp2 is the standard and latest no-CD'ed version used as the reference for Awesomeware, yes.
