Kitchen building question
Kyna:
I'm wondering what is wrong with the kitchens I build. As shown in this image, when a butler or nanny tries to prepare food they start to prepare it, then turn around and stomp their feet with this thought bubble above their heads. They then walk away, leaving half-prepared food on the counter to go off. I suck at building, which is probably why I can't see what is wrong with the kitchen design. Playables don't do it - they have no problem using the kitchen, whether I am running FEY/macrotastics or not.
witch:
Nope, can't see any problem with that layout. The Butler appears to think he cannot use the bench. :-\
J. M. Pescado:
Force an error right as he does the stomp and attach the log.
Kyna:
I've been having this problem for a few years with nannies, always assumed it was a nanny problem.
During the first few weeks of AL release I played BDC, and the de Bateaus had a butler in their penthouse apartment - that butler had no problem with preparing food. This is why I assumed it must be a problem with my kitchen designs, rather than the NPCs. The butler worked in a pre-made kitchen, but not in a kitchen I built or in similar designed kitchens in downloaded houses - i.e. fridge on left, stove on right, one counter between them and no blender.
Hoping this log was caught at the right time.
Bugger:
I also experience this sometimes. At first I thought that it was from cc cabinets that I downloaded, but it has happened even after removal. Not always, and not just for the butler.
It seems to be the same thing happening when I click on teen/child to "do homework" that is sitting on a desk. They can only get the homework if it is on the floor or placed on a desk/table with chair directly in front of the homework. So my One Desk is not useful right now in many households.
