Is it possible to make a hack to get rid of asterisks?

My bins folder is choke-full of EAxis-made objects like preorders, Stories conversions and OBJD overrides too.

I kind of like having asterisks as it helps me to know what came with the game and what didn't.  That was always something that I was looking for in The sims 1

Actually I like asterisks in real CC for the same reason. In TS1 I missed this feature too.
It's just that I made several mods which contain OBJD overrides for official objects. I'd rather have them in Downloads folder for convenience. Seems like there is no way to disable it selectively.

Someone tried that already:

I'm sure I had one made by someone else (Carrigon, maybe) in the early days, too.
After placing said hack in my test game it had the desired effect but also an undesired one:

So if you don't like ep icons as well this hacks for you.

Tough trade...
There is something about those icons that helps me locate clothing.

SaraMK:
Dude, what are those fucked up blobs at the top?

Because... like, I don't think I have those in my game.

Wow.

Those are some kind of weird cloudball character you can download somewhere on MTS2, similar to the Squid in Awesomeland.
