I believe the answer to that is not to name your computer your real name. Which Pescado says is a bad idea anyway.

My computer is not named my real name, but my XP account is named my real name, which is what Spore seems to be using.

Use an alternate account? I believe one solution is to take your creation .pngs from the account you don't want the name of public, load up the game in an alternate anonymous account, make some miniscule change and save. It should now be under your name. Hence all the recolored EAxis items in the Sporepedia under member names.
