Is this true? If so EA needs to get off their asses!

kazebird:
Is it true that NPC spawning is back in AL! If so I hope that Pes, or Darcy can fix it. I refuse to play a game that will inevitably crash, while EA just watches the cash flow in INSTEAD OF DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
I tell ya the glitches keep getting worse, and worse! Also I know the little NL building is gone, which ruins Downtown, and have heard there is a problem with OFB windows, which ruins Bluewater! Great job EA! You just can't leave a good thing alone can you! I for one am not getting The Sims 3 EVER! If ugly sims weren't bad enough, the base game will be so messed up it will become a BFBVFS just from opening the file!

witch:
Oh look, just create a throwaway hood and play till it gets fixed. I make a new sims 2 folder and just go for it.  ;D

virgali:
There's a thread about this in "Oops". People there said to try the notownie regen hack. As Witch pointed out just create a new Hood for experimenting purpuses or back up your Sims 2 folder and put a new in. Once all the quirks have been worked oout, delete that one and put the backed up one back in.

What I did the folloging:
[*]Deleted all Sims 2 related stuff from my pc
[*]Installed The Sims 2 basegame and all EP and SP
[*]Loaded the game (I did not load any hood)
[*]Quit the game and go into My Documents and saved a back up of the clean EA Games file somewhere
[*]Copy that file into My Documents with each new release of SP and EP
[*]Test play with that and deleted after it's no longer needed

A Shorter Version:
[*]Create an additional accoutn on your pc
[*]Load that account and load the game
[*]Get the clean file from My Documents and save it somewhere on your original pc account
[*]Delete that pc account

Sarimar:
Or if you don't want to go through all that trouble you can just rename your TS2 folder in "My Documents"... I rename mine "xxxThe Sims 2" and let the game generate a new one. You get a fresh start without having to create new accounts or re-install the game.
