Did I just do a Very Bad Thing?

I accidentally left some graves behind when I was moving some of my sims around, so I decided it was finally time to make an actual graveyard.  I took a blank 4x4 lot out of the lot bin and put some trees on, and went to move the graves.  Then I realized I had stupidly made the lot a residential lot instead of a community lot.  So I went back to it, and used the lot zoning cheat to make it a community lot.  However, after I'd moved the graves there, I couldn't find them on the lot.  The I noticed that the lot didn't have a pay phone, but instead had a mailbox and a garbage can, like a residential lot.  Is there some way to fix this lot and make it into a real community lot?  Will it mess up my game in subtle and horrific ways?  Will I ever get the graves back?  Help?

jsalemi:
Don't know if you'll ever get the graves back, but you can delete the mailbox and garbage can and put a public phone on the lot -- it's found in the 'Electronics/Misc' catalog, I think.

You can probably get the graves back, but you'll have to re-spawn them.

Here's a recent Podium thread with good info.

Ok, I tried the instructions in that thread, but when I unpaused the game, the dead sims disappeared and it gave the "died on another lot" message.  Also, that option didn't appear for a dog that had died, with boolprop controlpets true.  The graves are still AWOL.   ???

jsalemi:
You probably have to to back to the original lot where the sim died, and re-move the gravestone.
