Death by flies?

Bleached:
Mmkay, two questions here.
1) What's the best way to do death by flies (without boolprop, if possible)
2) I boolprop'd a death by flies on a sim that was permaplat, but she didn't get the platnum grave. Any particular reason for this, and can I fix that somehow?

   Platinum grave only applies when the sim dies of old age while in gold or higher mood.

Food or trash gone bad. Place them in a field with a one space buffer around each pile, as sims have to step over the trash to roll odds for the death.

Oh, okay. So a 1x3 room with a rotting food in the middle will work? And what are the chances of it happening?

^just have the sim walk back and forth over the pile until it does
