Seriously, though, I know it's probably because uni was made before pets, and because it would probably cause a BFBVFS, but I know my kittun made college a lot less stressy.

Edit to be relevant to Sims: That said, considering what the Mod That Will Not Be Named allows you to do with university lots, it seems like it should be technically possible. I'm not a modder, though.
