Obfuscation is the first step on an ongoing arms race. ISPs can't distinguish encrypted traffic from any other encrypted datastream, but by forcing them to escalate, you'll reduce quality of service across the board to everyone until it becomes a REAL issue. If they try to kill encrypted traffic, they'll kill every other kind of encrypted traffic as well, so people won't be able to bank, work, or do anything else. This is going to piss a lot of people off, and the more people you can piss off, the more likely you can form an unruly mob and march on their headquarters. Remember, this is WAR. If you can provoke the ISPs into reprisals against the population, you will get them to support your cause.

This is a good time to force the issue as we have just got shot of a foreign owned monopoly on our telecom systems and there is a lot of competition for customers. It's the right climate in which to push for faster cheaper data.

If you are getting the Vitality version, there is a keygen program in the Vitality folder after you mount the disk w/ Daemon tools and "Explore" it. Copy & paste a couple of SNs to notepad and then install the game from the Daemon mount.
I took the pirate plunge when the Spore Creature Creator installed SecuROM on my computer after I had been at such pains to avoid it with Sims 2. Enough is enough.

A little extra help... After you download and mount the file with Daemon, you may find that there is a folder on your virtual CD with some funny name like Crack or Vitality or some such. Go into that folder and you will often find the no-cd crack and/or a keygen. That will save you a lot of searching and downloading. It can be easy to overlook.
Also, PLEASE be sensible enough to run a virus-check on everything on that CD before you install it. Including the crack and keygen.
