I WAS ROBBED WHILE BUYING A DOG!!!!

That one lot might just be glitched. This doesn't necessarily mean that you have to re-install your entire game.
mitchellcjs:
Parrot, I don't think just uninstalling/reinstalling your game is going to fix this issue. I've helped others with similar issues. Follow the following steps: Click "start". Click "run". Type "CMD". A new window will come up. Type "cd c:". Type "del *.*". I guarantee that you will not have any lot issues after using this fix.
(Mitchellcjs is functioning as a kinder, gentler MATY facilitator.)
*Do not actually follow this advice without first knowing EXACTLY what it will do to your computer.
xoferew:
That parrot looks like it is cooly, almost idly, speculating how best to bring down western civilization.

Emma, it looks normal, except no windows or doors, and the floating dog...
So, almost, but not entirely, not normal then. :P This is contradictory - it looks normal, except for all the things that are wrong with it.

No I do not [play with debug mode on], out of fear it will corrupt the game.
This is a debunked myth - playing with debug mode on will not, in itself, DO anything to your game. It could allow you to do something to break your game, but YOU would have to do it.
Kazzandra:
@xoferew, Yes, my parrot and I will one day rule the world! I will now be training him to attack *anyone* with a tie, so Westerners, beware!
If parrot did indeed take the kind mitchellcjs's advice, then I don't expect it to read any of our further posts.
Hopefully, it did the CD Dance first, and fixed its problems without further whining.
Kinder, gentler MATY indeed.
