Abduction in NL changes relationships?

Well, whenever I've adopted I've done it without any hacks, so maybe that's different. I do remember, though, that Lucy Burb got taken by the social worker and I tried getting sims to adopt a child in the hopes someone in the family could get her back, but it didn't work.

Before I had the no abduction hack, I had a toddler taken by the social worker. When I adopted a child with another family, I got the abducted toddler. I've only adopted once, so I don't know if this would always hold true. That was with the base game.
I've just made a random 10% of my sims gay, so I might use Bangelnuts' idea of making some babies for the gene pool, I like playing quite realistically so some couples will be adopting. Cheers Bangelnuts.
